Halina sa Hapag Ugnayan
Welcoming you to our shared table for reconnection with the land, the kitchen, creativity and each other
Come create and eat with us.
Nourish and be nourished. Maghain at magpabusog.
We believe that the act of cooking together and sharing meals offers pathways to wellbeing beyond nutrition. Our potlucks of food and creativity are a forms of creative expression, resistance, and builders of social connection, carrying with it the spirit of collective care and co-creation.
It is with this belief that we invite you to our table.
Anong niluluto natin dito? What are we cooking up here?
Hapag Ugnayan, is a play on the Tagalog hapagkainan or dining table. This
project is an attempt to remind us of the potential and power of connection when
we create art inspired by food, prepare a meal, and eat in community.
In this publication, we intend to lay the tablescapes for a literary (rather than literal) potluck of food, creativity, community and connection, where you can expect:
Thought snacks on reconnecting with land, the kitchen, and each other (hopefully with some contributions from you too, as this is intended as a potluck of creativity)
Monthly or bi-monthly updates on activities and gatherings by Hapag Ugnayan and our friends (though it’s best to follow @hapagugnayan on Instagram for this, or to join our Hapag Ugnayan barkada Telegram group, once invited, as you’ll get more immediate updates there)
Para kanino to? Who is this for?
We’re bringing together a community of kitchen rebels, creatives, alchemists and culture-builders to the feast! If you aspire to connect with new and old friends, farmers, and kapwa (fellow beings), and eventually contribute to potlucks of food and creativity, come grab a plate and bring a friend.
Kitakits sa hapag!
